The Steinel IS D360 is a recessed ceiling motion sensor measuring 83 mm across and 82 mm deep — the same footprint as an ordinary downlight. The housing is white plastic in RAL 9010, and only the multi-lens in the centre gives the sensor away. Settings are made with potentiometers on the body; there is no remote control. Where it is installed The sensor drops into a standard spotlight frame. The cut-out is Ø 73 mm and the installation depth 53 mm — two figures to check against the frame and the void above a suspended ceiling before you start drilling.
