E452 is a square step light 14 cm on a side, with a horizontal light slot across the middle. It projects just 2.6 cm from the wall and — importantly — needs no cut-out: the manufacturer states plainly that there is no mounting hole and no required recess depth. It screws onto a finished wall, including one you can no longer chase. What it is for This is orientation lighting, not general lighting. 185 lm from a 3 W module is enough to mark the edge of a step, light an outdoor stair flight or lead a path along a wall — without glare and without flooding the garden. The slot releases the beam as a narrow band, so the light lands on the paving rather than in the eyes of whoever is coming down. Light figures The colour is a warm 3000 K and colour rendering is CRI 80. Colour consistency of SDCM < 5.75 means several fittings along one flight will glow in closely matched tones. The manufacturer quotes 30,000 hours to L70B50. Energy class E. The fitting is not dimmable. Electrics E452 uses DOB (Driver On Board) — the supply electronics sit inside the fitting itself, so it connects straight to 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz mains with no external driver and no low-voltage run. Fitting several along a staircase, that saves an entire layer of wiring. Protection class I requires a protective earth conductor. Durability The body is aluminium, the diffuser polycarbonate (PC), the colour brown. IP65 covers dust tightness and resistance to water jets — the fitting can work on an exposed façade and beside outdoor steps.
