A large pendant with soft light VT-82-3 from the Soft Light range is a pendant measuring 60 × 50 × 40 cm and weighing 5.8 kg — noticeably larger than a typical dining pendant. It is built from aluminium profiles with black acrylic diffusers; the diffusers scatter the diode light so that no individual points are visible from any angle. Hence the range name: output leaves across the whole surface rather than from hard sources. The supply cable is 40 cm, so the fitting hangs relatively close to the ceiling. That matters when planning: over a dining table in a room of normal height it will sit noticeably higher than a classic pendant, which at this size is an advantage — it does not block the view across the table. Two of those numbers deserve explanation. First, R9 = 8 — the CRI component responsible for saturated red; at a value this low, red fabrics, timber and food lose some intensity. Second, SDCM 2, the colour consistency: with an ellipse this tight, the light colour of two units of the same fitting is effectively indistinguishable, which when installing several in one room matters more than CRI itself. Dimming and supply quality The fitting is dimmable, and the manufacturer declares compatibility with dimmers of a specific type — before buying a control, check that yours appears on the compatibility list. The power factor is 0.98, very high for a fitting in this class: apparent current is almost equal to real current, so several of these on one circuit load the protection barely more than the sum of their watts suggests.
