MARIEL is a round coffee table on a solid conical pedestal. The 90 cm top and the pedestal are made of MDF board finished in walnut veneer, and the grain on the top runs outward from the centre. How much room it takes The top is 90 cm across and the pedestal meets the floor in a 56 cm circle, so the top overhangs the base by about 17 cm all round — feet go under the edge instead of hitting a plinth.
