FOCUS ZOOM is a spotlight for the single-phase UNITY track system, 12 W and 900 lm, at 3000 K with CRI 90. The name is not decoration: the beam angle adjusts continuously from 15° to 50°. Zoom — one fitting instead of three In a typical track system the beam angle is chosen at purchase and stays that way. Here the body carries an adjustment ring that changes the spread across 15° – 50° — after installation, on a finished system, with no tools and no change of optic. What that gives in practice, measured from a spotlight 2.5 m above the object: 15° — a pool about 0.66 m across: a painting, a sculpture, a single display case, a bottle on a bar. The beam is clearly cut off from its surroundings. 30° — about 1.3 m: an armchair, a section of shelving, a coffee table. 50° — about 2.3 m: a dining area, a worktop, a wide stretch of wall. That single feature is the reason to choose this model over a cheaper fixed-angle spot. When the room changes — the armchair moves, a new painting goes up, the display is rearranged — you do not replace the fitting, you turn the ring. Add 355° of rotation plus tilt, and direction and beam width are set independently of each other. Light quality CRI 90 — well above the market standard of 80. On paintings, textiles, wood, retail goods or food on a table the difference is visible to the naked eye: colours do not go grey. 900 lm from 12 W (75 lm/W), colour 3000 K warm white. The LED is recessed into the housing, which gives an anti-glare effect: looked at from an angle, the diode is not visible. Declared life 50,000 h. Dimming and supply — check before buying TRIAC (phase) dimming — an ordinary wall dimmer on the track circuit. No DALI, no controller, no remote. But equally: the dimmer must handle a TRIAC load, and with a single 12 W fitting its minimum load is worth checking. Supply range AC 165–265 V — unusually wide. The fitting tolerates mains variation well beyond the standard 230 V ±10%. Protection class II — double insulated. IP20 — dry interiors only.
