Bergmen Neon Flex HXR One 9 W/m, blue 465 nm, 24 V DC, IP67, 7 x 15 mm, sold by the metre

HXR One is an LED neon from the Polish brand Bergmen – a flexible extruded-silicone cord with a 7 × 15 mm section that replaces glass neon tubing. This variant emits blue at a wavelength of 465 nm. You are buying metres, not pieces The product is sold by the running metre, cut from a 10-metre reel – the price shown is for one metre and the minimum order is 1 m. Order 6 m and you receive one continuous length. A full, uncut reel arrives ready to connect: with its lead and end cap already fitted and its IP67 seal intact. For cut lengths the accessories are bought separately – the manufacturer does not include them with the metreage. Cut it anywhere The defining feature of this range: there is no defined cutting section. An ordinary LED strip may only be cut every 5–10 cm at a marked point; here you shorten it wherever you like. When you are building a logo or lettering, that is the difference between "nearly fits" and the exact dimension. Bending and twisting The neon bends horizontally in multiple planes at a radius of just 3 cm and twists about its own axis – up to 360° per 30 cm. The semicircular section spreads the light evenly and the silicone diffuses it enough that no individual light points show: the line glows continuously, like a neon tube. Inside are 120 2835 SMD diodes per metre. 24 V supply – and a 10-metre limit The cord runs on a safe 24 V DC and therefore needs a driver; it is never connected straight to 230 V. The manufacturer gives a maximum single-ended feed length of 10 m – longer runs must be fed from both ends or split into sections, or the far end will visibly dim. Consumption is 9 W per metre, so a 6-metre sign needs a driver of at least 54 W (in practice 70–75 W, for headroom). The neon is dimmable, with a PWM controller on the 24 V side. Outdoors too IP67 means fully dust-tight and proof against brief immersion, and the silicone is resistant to UV and to salt – hence its use on façades, in coastal locations and anywhere that gets washed down. The operating range is −20 to +45 °C. Allow for silicone's movement: at 60 °C it grows by about 10 mm over 5 m, and at −40 °C it shrinks by about 50 mm over 5 m – the fixings must permit that, particularly on long straight runs. About lumens on saturated colours The manufacturer quotes 7 lm/m for the blue version. Do not compare that against the white versions' output (225–250 lm/m from the same wattage): the lumen is weighted by the sensitivity of the human eye, which sees very poorly at 465 nm. Blue light is visually intense despite the low figure – with saturated colours what matters is wavelength and power, not lumens.
