A square trim with a movable reflector inside From outside, S014 looks like an ordinary 8.5 × 8.5 cm square trim, but the round ring carrying the lampholder inside it tilts. That is the whole difference between this and a cheap fixed downlight: once it is in the ceiling, it can later be aimed at a picture, a shelf or a worktop without moving the trim or reworking the hole. The manufacturer names the feature plainly — "Movable". Ø 75 mm cut-out, 75 mm depth These are the two numbers to check before buying, and the two usually left out of downlight listings. The hole is cut at Ø 7.5 cm, and 7.5 cm of clear space is needed above the board — with a shallow suspended ceiling or an insulated soffit that is the limiting condition. The trim itself stands only 2 cm below the ceiling, so from underneath the fitting stays discreet. No lead, but the holder is fitted The datasheet notes "Cables & Wires: None" — the fitting has no factory flex and wires straight into the ceiling circuit. The GU10 lampholder, by contrast, is included and already mounted; there is nothing to buy separately or transfer from an old fitting. The GU10 lamp is chosen separately No light source is supplied. The holder takes any GU10 lamp up to 50 W — a limit aimed mainly at old halogens; a typical GU10 LED draws 4–7 W and sits far below it. Choosing the lamp yourself is an advantage here: colour temperature, output and beam angle can be matched to the actual room, and swapped years later without changing the fitting. Zambelis suggests its COIN 50 G3 module, for which On-Off, DALI and phase-cut drivers are available — so dimming depends entirely on the lamp you choose, not on the fitting. Aluminium, matt black The body is aluminium in a matt black finish. Aluminium carries heat away from the lamp better than plastic, which translates directly into lamp life with the more powerful GU10 LEDs. Matt black reflects no ceiling light, so the trim disappears into a dark ceiling and reads as a deliberate, crisp contrast in a pale one.
