CHAIN 91 is a linear pendant built from repeating links that recall a chain. The 91 cm steel body is finished in white, and the ceiling canopy matches it. Light leaves the links rhythmically, alternating to two sides, so the fitting throws light downwards and upwards at the same time. Size and how it hangs The fitting is 91 cm long and about 10 cm across, widening to 10.7 cm where the links overlap. The manufacturer gives a suspension height of up to 200 cm below the ceiling; the cables are shortened during installation. Over a table the drop is usually set so the lower edge sits 70–80 cm above the top. Compare the 91 cm length with your own table or island: a linear fitting works best when it is clearly shorter than the surface below it. The lamp weighs 3.5 kg. Light output and dimming The LED source is built in permanently and cannot be replaced. It draws 10 W and gives 1177 lm, a little more than a former 60 W incandescent bulb — enough over a table, but not enough to light a large room on its own. 4000 K is neutral white, without the warm yellow cast and without the chill of daylight. The collection has integrated PUSH-DIMM/DALI control, so brightness can be varied smoothly — that needs a push dimmer or a DALI controller, neither of which is included. Build The body is steel, painted matt white. The links are closed and the light escapes through the gaps between them, which is the rhythm of bright breaks visible in the photographs. The lamp is made in Poland, and the collection was designed with RYZY Studio. CHAIN is also made as a 158 cm pendant and as a wall light, in sixteen colours and two light colours, so several fittings from one family can be spread across adjoining rooms. Where it works The manufacturer intends it above a dining table and a kitchen island, and for corridors and restaurants — wherever a linear shape follows a worktop or a passage.
