A gathered cone in printed linen Ripple is a shade of classic tapered cut — 35 cm at the bottom, 25 cm at the top, 24 cm tall — hand-sewn from gathered, pleated fabric. The material is a faux linen with a digital print in Marlin Blue: a saturated sea blue that reads almost navy in daylight and warms and lifts once the lamp is on. The "ripple" pattern comes from the waving of the fabric folds themselves, not from printed artwork — which is why the light falls differently across the vertical pleats with every change of viewing angle. Finish: taped edges and a pale lining Top and bottom edges are bound with tape in the shade's own colour, closing the construction and protecting the fabric edge from fraying. The interior is smooth and pale — not a decorative detail but an optical decision: a light lining throws the light downward instead of letting a dark fabric swallow it, so a shade in a strong colour still puts a usable amount of light onto a table or a book. A reversible gimbal: three ways to use it The most practical feature of this model is its reversible white gimbal — a fitting ring that turns through 180°.
