ELLE is a small Keter Lighting ceiling lamp with loft ancestry. A short rigid stem rises from a round ceiling rose, carrying a 12 cm metal cylinder whose lower half is replaced by an open wire cage. The bulb therefore stays visible – deliberately so, because the whole effect of this fitting rests on the contrast between the closed matt body, the see-through cage and the warm point of light inside. Build Everything is metal, finished in black – the manufacturer quotes the same shade separately for the frame and for the shade, so the lamp is uniformly black, with no contrasting interior or gilded lampholder. With a bare light source, the bulb's colour temperature and output shape the character of the light more than the fitting does: a warm 2200–2700 K gives an atmospheric amber point, while a cooler, brighter lamp turns ELLE into practical lighting.
