This is an L-connector for the three-circuit EUTRAC track system by Rendl – the component that joins two lengths of track at a right angle. Silver-grey finish, inner polarity. Polarity – the decision that matters when ordering A three-circuit track is not symmetrical: the protective conductor runs along one of its sides, and that determines which way the track "faces" once installed. Where the run turns a corner, it can be made up two ways – with the protective conductor on the inside of the turn or on the outside. Each needs a different connector and they are not interchangeable. This is the inner polarity version. Rendl makes the outer-polarity twin – check the layout drawing, or the track already on the ceiling, before ordering. A connector that is also a feed-in This is not a purely mechanical joint: mains can be fed into the system through it. One component therefore handles both the corner and the 230 V connection point, which lets you hide the supply in the corner of a room instead of adding a separate feed-in halfway along a straight run. Maximum load: 16 A – the limit for the whole section fed through this point. Three circuits, and what they are for A three-circuit system carries three independent circuits in one track. Fittings are assigned to a chosen circuit by turning the adapter, so a single track can drive three lighting scenes from separate switches: display spots, general lighting and back-of-house, for instance. This is the standard in shops, galleries and offices. Compatibility The part belongs to the EUTRAC / Eurostandard 3-circuit system at 230 V. It fits that system's surface-mounted tracks and its other components: straight and flexible connectors, end caps, wire suspensions and adapters.
