End cap for LED neon flex of the 3Y series with an 8 × 8 mm cross-section. It closes the cut end of the neon run: protecting it from knocks and moisture, preventing a short across the exposed contacts, and giving the installation a clean factory finish instead of a raw cut. The version without a hole — check which one you need This cap is solid, with no gland for a cable. It closes the end of the neon that nothing is connected to. The other end, the one carrying the supply lead, needs the cap with a hole — order code 18-1200-55. A single continuous run normally takes one of each. What it fits 8 × 8 mm is a specific size within the 3Y family and the caps are not interchangeable between sizes. This one fits Neon LED Flex 3Y 8×8, 168 LEDs/m, 10 W/m, 24 V, vertical emission (VERTICAL), available in warm, neutral and cool white as well as blue, red, green and yellow. The other cross-sections in the series — 4 × 10, 6 × 12 and 10 × 10 mm — have their own separate caps. Completing the installation For the same cross-section the manufacturer offers mounting clip 18-1300-58, which guides the neon along the surface. When planning a purchase, count one cap without a hole and one with a hole per independent run, plus clips every few dozen centimetres and more densely around curves.
