A steel trough with ribbed glass ARCO is a 116.8 cm bar shaped like an elongated trough: the steel profile curls in on both sides, and the open underside is filled with heavy ribbed glass. That glass is what makes the fitting — not a smooth diffuser but a fluted sheet that breaks the light into vertical bands and starts to glitter itself once the lamp is on. Switched off it reads as dark, precisely folded metal with a bright edge. Black Oxide — a name that matters The manufacturer calls the finish Black Oxide. It is not ordinary black paint: oxidising produces a deep, slightly uneven black over a metallic ground that lifts toward graphite on edges and curves. The same model is also made in Heritage Brass (code HK-ARCO-LED-LP-117-HB) if warm brass suits better than black. Drop adjustable from 44 to 204 cm The fitting hangs on two 180 cm stainless steel cables, with a drop range of 44.2 to 204.2 cm. That is a very wide span: under a low kitchen ceiling it can be pulled up almost to the canopy, while a room with a gallery lets it come down two metres. Over a table the bottom edge usually sits 70–80 cm above the top.
