Five shades on arms of different lengths Holi 5 is a ceiling light that splits its output across five independent points rather than one body. The arms leave the central tube at different heights and run to different lengths, so the shades settle into an irregular, slightly scattered constellation instead of an even circle. The spread is 104 × 80 cm at 63 cm tall — a fitting for a room with space to give it. White shades in lacquered steel Everything is white-painted steel, shades included: a low, slightly flattened bell 14.5 cm across. Each shade sits on a knuckle at the end of its arm, so the beam can be aimed exactly where it is wanted — at the table, at a reading chair, or towards a wall for softer bounced light. The arms move too, so the spacing of the light points can be matched to the shape of the room. The matt white does not throw a sheen and sits comfortably against a pale ceiling. Split switching — you need not light all five Sigma specifies split switching for this model, meaning the lamps are divided into separately switched groups. Wired accordingly (a two-gang switch), you can bring up only part of the array — all five points for work or dinner, a smaller group in the evening. On a five-light fitting that genuinely changes how the room gets used. Five E27 sockets — with an important LED limit The fitting carries five E27 sockets and takes lamps up to 60 W per point. Worth noting, though, is the separate limit the manufacturer gives: for LED lamps the maximum is 15 W per socket. The restriction follows from the tight shade — the electronics of a stronger LED lamp could not shed heat inside it. At 15 W of LED each point gives roughly the light of an old 100 W incandescent, so five of them will light a large living room without effort. Mounting and installation data The fitting is fixed to the ceiling on a bracket, following the manufacturer's supplied instructions; the drop is fixed and cannot be adjusted. It weighs 6.4 kg — a lot for a ceiling light, so the fixing point must be load-bearing, and a suspended ceiling needs a solid channel or an anchor. IP20 protection assigns it to dry interiors. Where it works Over a metre of spread and five separate shades mean Holi 5 does its best work in an open-plan living room, a large dining room, or a day room joined to the kitchen. Scattering the light points gives more even coverage than a single fitting of the same wattage and leaves no dark corners.
