Swell IP44 bathroom wall light - 2 light sources - polished chrome Elstead

Name: Swell IP44 bathroom wall light - 2 light sources - polished chrome Elstead
Brand: Elstead Lighting

Swell is a two-light wall light by the American brand Quoizel, distributed by Elstead Lighting. A horizontal arm runs from a round polished chrome backplate to two lampholders topped with a curved hook and ringed collars. Each lampholder is covered by a frosted glass shade with vertical fluting.Size and bathroom installationThe light is 35.7 cm wide and 23.7 cm high, projects 17.1 cm from the wall and weighs 1.8 kg. Compare the width with the mirror or cabinet above your basin; with a narrower mirror the fitting works best above its top edge. The IP44 rating means protection against water splashing from any direction, which is why the manufacturer intends it for bathrooms; it is for indoor use only. Protection class I requires an earth connection, so the wall box must have an earth wire.Light sources includedThe fitting has two G9 lampholders, and two 3 W G9 LED capsules are included. Each gives 300 lm of warm 3000 K light, close in colour to a traditional bulb; together they light the mirror area rather than serving as the main light of a large bathroom. The manufacturer states a life of 25,000 hours. The capsules can be replaced with other G9 LED lamps of up to 3 W. The fitting is compatible with dimmable lamps, but dimming needs capsules marked as dimmable and a suitable dimmer. The frosted glass diffuses the light, so the capsules do not glare as bright points.Style and intended useQuoizel describes Swell as an American classic: a steel frame in mirror-like chrome and shades that recall traditional bathroom fittings. The manufacturer intends it for bathrooms and dining rooms. The chrome pairs easily with chrome taps, and the Swell family also comes in brushed brass.Εμφάνιση περισσότερων
