The TRYSIL 1097GR is a Norlys bollard light in graphite (RAL 7016) powder-coated cast aluminium, shaped like an inverted L: a slim 85 cm column turns at the top into a horizontal arm that houses the diffuser. The light is directed downwards only, onto the ground around the base. Size and installation The bollard is 85 cm tall and 34 cm wide including the arm, and the column profile measures 5 × 11 cm. That height suits paths, garden steps and driveways. It fixes through four ø8 mm holes spaced 18 × 50 mm, and setting it in the ground requires the 1907 concrete anchor, which is sold separately. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm² and allow the supply to be looped on to the next fitting (up to 3 × 1.5 mm²), with round-sheathed cable up to ø12.5 mm. A row of bollards along a path can therefore run on one circuit, wired from fitting to fitting. It is a protection class I luminaire, so it must be connected to the protective earth conductor; installation should be done by an electrician. What light it gives Two integrated LED modules produce 4000 K neutral white light with a colour rendering index of CRI 80. The LEDs generate 1069 lm and 647 lm leave the luminaire at a power draw of 7.3 W — the shielded head sends all of its output downwards. The upward light output ratio (ULOR) is 0%, so the bollard does not light the sky or the windows above it. It is phase-dimmable, but only with a trailing-edge (RC) dimmer. The electronic driver is built into the luminaire. Build and servicing The clear textured polycarbonate diffuser is UV-stabilised and a silicone gasket seals the housing to IP65, so the bollard can stand outdoors without any cover. Impact resistance is IK10, the top of that scale, which matters beside a driveway or a busy footpath. The LED modules are not user-replaceable but can be replaced by a service technician (service kit ZS1097zx0009), while the driver can be replaced by the end user. Norlys states LED lifetimes of L80 102,000 h and L90 52,600 h, and 50,000 h for the driver.
