Immersion and enhancer cells are a variation of the paddle over disk method. The immersion and enhancer cells can be used with USP apparatus 2 with vessel volumes from 100 ml up to 4L, although 150 ml or 200 ml are most commenly used. Enhancer/Immersion cells are easier to prepare and require less investment than a vertical diffusion cell system.
