Phix is a chandelier whose construction is easier to draw than to describe: six arms radiate from a champagne-bronze sphere, and each ends in a pair of conical black shades — one aimed down, one aimed up. Hence 12 light sources on six arms, and an effect an ordinary chandelier cannot produce: the lower cones light the table while the upper ones throw light across the ceiling. Shades you position yourself The black steel cones pivot. You can align them symmetrically, or deliberately break the arrangement and aim part of the light at a wall or a picture. That is unusual in this class — a chandelier's beam directions are normally fixed at the factory. The shade interiors are white, so they reflect the lamp's output rather than absorbing it. Scale and suspension The fitting measures 98.4 cm across with a body height of 34.1 cm — a large chandelier, meant for a wide dining table, a high-ceilinged living room or a stairwell. Overall drop is adjustable between 49.1 cm and 140.5 cm; four rods are supplied — 2 × 152 mm and 2 × 305 mm — to be combined as needed. The manufacturer recommends a classic E27 A60 LED lamp of 8 W / 800 lm / 3000 K for this fitting. The fitting has no dimming circuitry of its own but is compatible with dimmable lamps — control comes from a wall dimmer plus suitable bulbs. With twelve light points that is worth considering: at full output Phix is genuinely bright. Installation and safety The chandelier is for interior use only and runs on 220–240 V / 50 Hz mains. It is a class I fitting, so the installation must include a protective earth conductor, and fitting is best left to an electrician — both for the weight and for the number of connections.
