TRIMLESS 09925/02/31 is a twin recessed spotlight with no visible frame: once the ceiling is finished, all that shows is the two spots and the rectangular opening they sit in. The body is aluminium finished in matt white spray paint. How much room the ceiling needs The fitting is 18.5 cm long and 9.7 cm wide, and it sinks 9 cm into the ceiling. That last figure is the one that decides the purchase: it is the depth you need above a suspended ceiling or inside a plasterboard build-up. TRIMLESS comes with a perforated plaster frame. It goes in before filling and is set to the thickness of the finish coat, so the fitting ends flush with the ceiling, with no lip and no visible collar. The recess depth is not adjustable afterwards — the manufacturer gives 9 cm as a fixed value. Which lamps you have to buy There are two GU10 (MR16) sockets, each rated for a lamp of up to 50 W. No lamps are supplied, so colour and brightness are yours to choose; the manufacturer recommends its own LED lamp 49009/05/31, 5 W, working in dim-to-warm — the colour drops from 3000 K to 2200 K as it is dimmed. The fitting can be dimmed, but that takes two separately bought items: a dimmer and lamps described as dimmable. It has no control electronics of its own — the 230 V mains wires are joined in a connector that comes in the box along with the rest of the installation materials. How it aims the light Each of the two spots sits in a gimbal ring and can be turned and tilted through a full 360 degrees. The light goes downward, but each point is aimed separately, so one fitting lights two different places — a worktop and the wall beside it, for instance. Build Body, frame and mounting plate are all aluminium, and the whole thing weighs 0.92 kg. The manufacturer intends it for indoor use.Zobrazit více
