The VT-848 is a V-TAC outdoor wall light with a flat aluminium body in black. It shines upward and downward at the same time, casting two bands of light on either side of the housing. The IP65 rating lets you mount it on an outside wall without any extra weather cover. How big it is and where to mount it The body measures 22 cm wide, 9 cm tall and only 4.8 cm deep — a flat profile that sits close to the wall. It's fixed directly to a wall, for example beside a front door, on a façade or along a terrace. How much light it gives and what kind The LED source is built into the fixture and cannot be replaced — once its lifespan ends, the whole fixture is replaced. The manufacturer states an 18-year lifespan at 3 hours of use per day. A power of 7 W with a luminous flux of 940 lm gives an efficacy of 135 lm/W, and the 4200 K colour temperature is neutral white, between warm and cool. A colour rendering index of Ra 80+ gives good, though not fully accurate, colour rendering. The beam angle is 150° in each of the two directions, so light spreads across the wall in a wide band both upward and downward. Build and power supply The body is made of aluminium, a corrosion-resistant material that carries heat away from the LEDs well. The fixture runs on 230 V and has a power factor above 0.6.
