IPIALES LE42408 is a wall light shaped as a straight horizontal bar 62 cm long. The aluminium profile is finished in matt black, and the light leaves through an acrylic cover that runs the full length of the bar. A rectangular mounting plate sits at the centre and takes the screws that hold the fitting to the wall. How big it is and where to put it The bar is 62 cm long and only 6 cm high, so it takes up a narrow strip of wall and does not cut into the reflection. That length suits mirrors roughly 60–80 cm wide: mounted above the glass, the fitting lights its whole width rather than just the middle. It runs on 230 V mains and the connection point falls behind the central plate. The same series includes a shorter 41.5 cm version and both sizes in white, so the fitting can be matched to the mirror width and to the colour of the taps. How much light IPIALES gives The built-in LED module draws 12 W and produces 1615 lumens — enough for this single fitting to serve as the task light over a basin, without extra points at the sides of the mirror. The 3000 K colour is warm white: warmer than daylight, but without the yellow cast of old incandescent bulbs. The light source is permanently built in and included, so no bulb has to be bought separately — and none can be replaced later either. The opal acrylic cover spreads the light along the whole bar, so neither individual diodes nor hard shadows show on a face in front of the mirror. Which room it belongs in The fitting is rated IP44, meaning it is protected against splashing water. It can be mounted in a bathroom in the basin and mirror zone, where an ordinary IP20 wall light should not hang. The manufacturer intends it for the bathroom, above a mirror and above a dressing table. The style is modern in the plainest sense: one horizontal line, no ornament, and a single matt colour that reflects no highlights and stays quiet next to black taps or a mirror frame.
