TAYLOR 7205 is a two-light wall lamp built from two frosted glass tubes 45 mm in diameter, set one above the other on a brass-plated steel body. The round wall plate measures 80 mm across and the whole fitting stands 370 mm tall. The manufacturer also allows horizontal mounting, for example above a mirror. How large the lamp is and how it goes up The fitting is 370 mm tall, 80 mm wide and projects 90 mm from the wall. Mounted vertically it occupies a strip of wall under 40 cm, so it fits between a door and a corner or on either side of a mirror. The brass centre section is 100 mm long and houses the bracket. The lamp weighs 0.6 kg, and the manufacturer specifies two wall plugs with screws for mounting; the holes sit behind the round 80 mm plate. That same plate lets you turn the fitting through 90 degrees — both tubes then lie side by side, the arrangement intended for above a mirror. Which bulbs fit The fitting takes two E27 lamps of up to 15 W each, and none are supplied. The installation card permits LED lamps only and states the maximum envelope: 35 mm in diameter and 96 mm long. A standard A60 pear at 60 mm across will not go in — candle lamps and slim E27 tubes are what fit. You choose the light colour yourself. A 2700–3000 K lamp gives warm, slightly yellow light close to the old incandescent; next to a mirror it is worth picking a bulb with a high colour rendering index so shades match what you see in daylight. The fitting has no driver of its own, so dimming needs a dimmable lamp and a dimmer in the circuit. Build and where it can go The body is brass-plated steel with a polished finish, the tubes frosted glass that diffuses light over their full height and hides the bulb. One tube points up from the bracket and the other down, so the lamp lights the strip of wall above and below itself. IP20 protection and protection class I mean mounting in dry interiors only, on a circuit with a protective earth conductor.
