TRYSIL 1079BL is an outdoor light in which the pole and the luminaire form a single structure. It stands 350 cm tall, and the rectangular head is carried sideways on an arm reaching 71 cm. The aluminium profile is powder-coated black, and the foot at the base bolts down to a foundation. How tall it is and where to put it Three and a half metres is the height at which the light falls from above across the full width of a path while the luminaire stays out of reach. The structure weighs 21.6 kg and is anchored to a poured foundation — this is not a spike lamp pushed into the soil. The manufacturer intends TRYSIL for parks, terraces and driveways, that is, wherever the light stands on its own and has to define the lit area by itself. How it spreads the light The luminaire gives 1705 lm from 12.2 W, an efficacy of 139.8 lumens per watt. The colour is 4000 K, a neutral white — noticeably cooler than domestic 3000 K, but better at showing shapes and edges after dark. Inside sits a Ledil VSM lens with an IESNA type V distribution, which is symmetrical and all-round. The light therefore covers the ground evenly in every direction rather than a strip along one axis — it suits a junction of paths, a parking bay or a yard where light has to go everywhere. The BUG classification B1-U1-G1 says little light escapes upwards or sideways, so the luminaire does not shine into a neighbour's windows. DALI-2 control and NightDim The light supports the DALI-2 standard and the NightDim function. Dimming needs a DALI bus with a gateway or controller — a phase dimmer on the supply cable will not work. It runs on 230 V, with a power factor of 0.88. Build and durability The diffuser is clear polycarbonate stabilised against UV radiation, so it does not yellow after a few seasons in the sun. IP65 means full protection against dust and against water jets, and impact class IK10 — the top of the scale — matters in public spaces.
