TRANG is a floor lamp built as a slim 3 cm luminous tube standing on a round steel base 25 cm across. The base, the lower part of the stem and the cap at the top are olive green; the cable is black. The lamp measures 150 cm in height. How much room it takes and where to stand it A 25 cm base takes up very little floor, so the lamp fits between a sofa and the wall or into the narrow gap beside an armchair. The luminous tube is 125 cm long and starts 23 cm above the floor, so the light is spread along the full height of the room rather than only near the ceiling. The driver is housed in a separate cylinder 6 cm across and 26 cm tall that stands on the floor beside the lamp, wired into the cable. The cable is 300 cm long and carries an in-line switch, so a free socket within three metres is all that is needed — there is nothing to install. How much light TRANG gives The built-in LED module delivers 4710 lm from 40 W. That is main-lighting territory: it lights a whole living room and can work instead of a ceiling fitting, not merely as a reading-corner accent. The 4000 K colour is neutral white, with neither a yellow nor a blue cast, which suits reading and desk work. The light source is supplied and permanently integrated: no lampholder, no bulb to replace, and it lights the moment it is plugged in. The tube emits all the way around, so the light is diffuse and leaves no hard pool on the floor. The interiors it suits The form is modern and reduced to a single vertical line, with no shade, arms or ornament. Olive green is a muted, subdued shade that sits well with wood, beige and white, and reads as the warmer accent next to black. The TRANG collection also includes pendants of 50, 75 and 100 cm in the same colour, so the floor lamp can be paired with one hung over a dining table or kitchen island. Construction The base and stem are steel, the luminous tube is PVC. The lamp weighs 3.2 kg, and the mass concentrated in the flat base steadies the 150 cm stem.
