TEKKNI+ ORRE+ LED profile – surface-mounted, 16 × 7.2 mm ORRE+ is one of the lowest surface-mounted profiles in the TEKKNI+ range by LUMINES Lighting: just 7.2 mm tall and 16 mm wide. That section means that once stuck under a shelf, inside a cupboard or above a kitchen worktop, the profile all but disappears — what you see is the line of light, not the aluminium channel. This is a 2.02 m length in a white lacquered finish. What the profile is for An aluminium profile does three jobs at once. First it keeps the LED strip straight — stuck directly onto furniture board a strip ripples and, after a few months, starts to peel away. Second it carries heat away: aluminium works as a heat sink, and a lower operating temperature translates directly into the real service life of the diodes. Third, together with a cover, it diffuses the light — instead of a row of visible dots you get one continuous line. Dimensions and the strip channel The outer section is 16 × 7.2 mm and the internal channel is 14.2 mm wide — it takes standard 8 and 10 mm strips as well as wider ones, up to about 14 mm. The profile comes in 1 m, 2.02 m and 3 m lengths, and besides white lacquer also in black anodised, silver anodised and raw finishes. Two ways to mount it The manufacturer allows for mounting on double-sided tape or on metal clips fixed with screws. Tape is quicker and needs no drilling — it works on smooth furniture surfaces. Clips (code 13-0510-02, section 18.0 × 8.7 mm) are the more durable answer and let the profile be taken off without damaging the substrate, for instance when the strip is replaced. Clips are not part of this item. What you need to buy alongside This is the bare profile — no cover, no end caps, no clips and no LED strip. To complete a line of light you need: An S14+ cover (14.1 × 4.3 mm) in PVC or PMMA, transparent, frosted or milky. For the 2.02 m length: PVC 11-1563-20 / 11-1562-20 / 11-1561-20, PMMA 11-2573-20 / 11-2572-20 / 11-2571-20. A milky cover hides individual diodes best; a transparent one lets through the most light. ORRE+ 2-in-1 end caps (ABS, 16.0 × 7.6 mm): black 12-2072-01, white 12-2071-01, silver 12-2074-01. Mounting clips 13-0510-02, if the profile is to be screwed down. An LED strip up to 14 mm wide, with a matching driver. Where it works The manufacturer aims ORRE+ at furniture applications and at office and home spaces, for decorative lighting. In practice that means lighting shelves and bookcases, a strip above a kitchen worktop, the inside of a wardrobe, backlighting for mirrors and pictures, and lines of light run along a wall. The low height is decisive here: at 7.2 mm the channel casts no shadow on a worktop and does not protrude from under a shelf.
