GFA762N is a round Gea Luce ceiling light 22.5 cm across and only 3 cm deep. The housing is thermoplastic in matt white, and an anti-glare plastic diffuser covers the whole underside. It is a surface-mounted fitting, fixed straight onto the ceiling. How big it is and where it goes A disc 22.5 cm across and 3 cm thick sits flat enough against the ceiling to take no height off the room and stay clear of anyone walking under it — which matters in a corridor, an entrance hall or on a stair landing, where a pendant would be in the way. Being surface-mounted, it needs no cavity prepared above the ceiling. The fitting weighs 0.48 kg, or 0.53 kg with packaging. The GFA range holds two smaller discs of the same shape, so several identical light points can be spread across different rooms. How much light it gives and of what kind Drawing 18 W, it puts out 1620 lm — roughly what two old 60 W bulbs gave — at 4000 K, a neutral white with no yellow cast. This is light for working and moving around, not for winding down in the evening. The 120° beam points downwards and the anti-glare diffuser spreads it across the whole face, so no individual diodes show through. A colour rendering index above 80 is enough to keep clothes and furnishings looking their proper colour. The fitting cannot be dimmed; the manufacturer provides for on/off only. Light source and wiring The LED module is built in permanently and can be neither replaced nor bought separately — the light works the moment it is wired up, but once the diodes are spent the whole fitting is changed. The manufacturer quotes a 35,000 h lifetime. Supply is 220–240 V AC, 50/60 Hz, and the fitting is insulation class II, so it needs no earth conductor and connects on two cores.
