STONES is a bedside lamp whose shade takes the form of a stone smoothed by water — an irregular, slightly flattened sphere 20 cm across, seated on a low black base. The whole stands 18.7 cm tall, which is what a bedside table needs for the light to fall below the eye line of someone lying down. Acrylic rather than glass The shade is acrylic, not glass, and that is a deliberate decision rather than a saving. Acrylic weighs less and, above all, does not shatter — which matters for a lamp that stands by a bed and is easily knocked over in the dark. The milky finish spreads the light evenly across the whole surface, so the form glows as one solid object with no bright spot where the bulb sits. E27 — you choose the light The socket is a standard E27 taking bulbs up to 40 W. No bulb is included, which on a bedside lamp is rather an advantage: you decide whether it should be a very warm 2200 K for evening reading or a neutral 4000 K if the lamp stands on a desk. There is no integrated LED here, so years later you change a bulb rather than the whole lamp. A 140 cm cable with a switch The 140 cm cable carries a classic inline switch — the lamp is turned on by hand, without reaching for the socket and without hunting for a switch on the body. Beside a bed that is the most convenient arrangement; 140 cm is enough to run the cable to a floor-level socket.
