PLUG 300 is a square ceiling light from the Italian brand Mareco Luce measuring 29.5 × 29.5 cm, in the version with an emergency module and DALI control, in anthracite. It keeps burning when the power goes That is the defining feature of this build: on loss of mains the fitting runs for 3 hours from its built-in battery. It is not a separate escape luminaire sitting next to the ordinary lighting – one device performs both duties, which simplifies installation and maintenance in corridors, stairwells, garages and the common parts of buildings. Mareco declares conformity with EN 60598-2-22, the standard for emergency lighting luminaires. A CCT switch: 3000 or 4000 K The colour is chosen with a CCT switch on the fitting, before installation: 3000 K (warm white, 1,463 lm) or 4000 K (neutral white, 1,569 lm). One reference therefore covers both cases – warmer for residential areas, cooler for a garage or a plant room – without ordering separate versions. DALI-2, PUSH DIM and the corridor function Control is via DALI-2, the bus in which each fitting carries its own address and can be dimmed independently. Alternatively it accepts PUSH DIM – dimming from an ordinary retractive push switch, with no controller at all. There is also a CORRIDOR function: fittings idle at a reduced level and brighten when a sensor in a neighbouring fitting detects movement. Along a circulation route that keeps a constant minimum lit while genuinely saving energy. IP65, IK08 and coastal sites The housing combines a back panel in through-coloured ABS with a diffuser in UV-stabilised polycarbonate – polycarbonate without that stabilisation yellows and goes brittle after a few seasons in the sun. IP65 means fully dust-tight and proof against water jets, and IK08 against a 5 J impact. The manufacturer states outright that it suits saline locations, where salt destroys ordinary housings. Protection class II – double insulated, no earth conductor needed. Mounting The fitting mounts on a wall or a ceiling; the driver is integrated, so no separate gear box is required. The body is only 7.8 cm deep.
