DECORATO 854 is a two-light pendant from ARGON: a narrow rectangular bar of matt black lacquered steel with two clear glass shades on black cables beneath it. Each shade is a broad cone with a chamfered edge, open at the bottom, so the bulb stays in view. How big it is and what to hang it over The ceiling bar is 42 cm long, 4.5 cm wide and 2 cm thick — a slim strip, not a round rosette. The fixture spans 56 cm, each shade 20 cm across and 17 cm high. The cables reach 80 cm and are shortened at installation, so the 100 cm drop can be reduced. Above a table the shades usually sit with their lower rim 70–80 cm above the top, covering one roughly 120–160 cm long. It weighs 1.3 kg; wall plugs and screws are chosen separately. How much light it gives and which bulb to fit The lamp has two E27 sockets, each taking up to 15 W, so 30 W in total. Bulbs are not included. The manufacturer's instructions point to LED rather than incandescent and cap the source at 50 mm diameter and 105 mm length — a G45 golf ball, candle or slim tube fits, but the standard A60 pear is too wide. LED bulbs of 45–50 mm diameter usually give 250–470 lm each, so a pair comes to roughly 500–950 lm together — the bulb you choose sets the total. Over a table that is local light on the top; 2700–3000 K is usual. The colourless glass does not diffuse the light, so bulbs with a visible LED filament suit it. Which interiors it suits ARGON intends DECORATO 854 for the dining table, a kitchen worktop or island and the living room, and for hotels and restaurants, where two shades in a line follow a row of tables. The style is modernist: a geometric bar with no ornament, black against colourless glass — good beside wood and pale walls. Materials and series The frame is lacquered steel in matt black, the shades colourless glass; inside each, above the socket, a gold-toned mirrored disc covers the fixing. The lamp runs on 230 V; its IP20 rating places it in dry interiors. The DECORATO series also includes the single-light 4047, 20 cm wide, same shade and drop. Sold without light sources, the fitting carries no energy class from the manufacturer.Show more
