No.C is a pendant made of a single slim black steel cable that hangs in an arc between two ceiling points. At the lowest point of the arc sits a small cylindrical spot 6 cm across, aimed straight down. The steel carries a textured finish — a matt, slightly rough surface rather than smooth paint. How it is installed This fitting is anchored at two ceiling points 86 cm apart, not on a single rose. The spacing therefore has to be planned along with the wiring, before the ceiling is closed; on a finished ceiling with one outlet a cable has to be run to the second point. From ceiling to spot is 120.5 cm, so at a usual room height of 2.5 m the spot hangs about 130 cm above the floor. Over a table that is a good height — about 55 cm of clearance above a 75 cm top — but it is too low over a walkway. Which lamp you have to buy The spot holds one GU10 socket and takes an LED lamp of up to 10 W. No lamp is included and the light source is not built in permanently — it is changed the way it is in any ordinary spotlight. GU10 is a reflector lamp: it throws a beam of a given angle rather than lighting all round. The fitting therefore lights a circle beneath it and not the whole room, and the lamp you choose decides how wide that circle is and what colour the light will be. Build and the longer version Body and cable are black painted steel, the fitting runs on 230 V mains, and the manufacturer gives a 5-year warranty. Antigo intends it for dining rooms, living rooms, bedrooms and hallways.
