Aldex Flask Cotton XL 8500G20_XL turns a single opal-glass volume into the defining feature of the room. This arrangement provides the flexibility of replaceable light sources while preserving the appearance of one uninterrupted object. The opal surface screens the individual bulbs and glows across a broader area, so the fitting reads as a luminous form rather than a cluster of exposed lamps. Bulb brightness and colour temperature can be selected to suit the intended setting.Using the XL proportions wellThe pendant is 40 cm wide and deep, with an overall height of up to 220 cm. Its adjustable drop makes it suitable above a dining table or kitchen island, where the large shade can define a zone, as well as in the main seating area of an open-plan living room. Leave enough clearance around the glass and set the hanging height in relation to the furniture below; the broad silhouette is most effective when it has visual space.The shade alone is 48 cm tall and is the part that cannot be adjusted — of the 220 cm overall height, the rest is cable, shortened during installation. Over a dining table the shade's bottom edge usually sits 70–80 cm above the top, so the light covers the whole surface without shining into seated diners' eyes.A restrained contemporary characterDesigned by Mikołaj Nicer, Flask Cotton relies on proportion, material and a warm neutral accent rather than applied ornament. Cream and beige tones work naturally with pale timber, stone, textured fabrics and matt cabinetry. The rounded opal glass also suits Scandinavian-influenced and minimalist interiors, especially where a prominent pendant is required without a dark or highly decorative finish.The FLASK collection was created for the premium brand Artera, and its starting point was the silhouette of a plain glass bottle.
