KITE is a Lutec outdoor wall light: a narrow, upright body 20 cm tall whose front is almost entirely an opal polycarbonate panel. The bracket and the back are dark grey, and the LED module is built in permanently — the fitting lights up once connected, with no bulb to buy. How big it is and how it mounts The body is 20 cm tall and 8.3 cm wide and stands 8.2 cm off the wall, so on a terrace wall or beside a balcony door it takes a strip barely wider than a hand. The narrow silhouette makes it easy to set several of them in an even rhythm along a façade without the wall looking built up. At 0.385 kg the fitting screws straight onto render, timber or brick. It is protection class II — double insulation means the installation needs no earth conductor. How much light KITE gives The LED module produces 1263 lm, and 770 lm leave the fitting through the opal panel at 8.8 W. That is the brightness of an old 60 W bulb — enough for a front door, part of a terrace, or the piece of wall you sit against. The panel glows across its whole face and full height, so the light spreads up and down the wall instead of forming one glaring point. 3000 K is warm white, and a colour rendering index of Ra 80 is enough to tell apart the colours of the façade and the planting by the door. Where it works An IP54 rating covers dust and splashing water from any direction, so the fitting can be mounted with nothing above it — including where rain drives straight at the wall. The manufacturer gives a five-year guarantee. Lutec intends KITE for the balcony: the narrow body fits the wall between door and railing, and the opal panel in its dark grey housing stays a light accent even when the fitting is off.Show more
