TEO 3 is the shortest of the three bollards in the TEO series by the Polish maker SU-MA. At 69 cm it sits roughly at knee height and lights what you actually walk on: the path, the driveway, a flight of steps, the edge of a bed. The wide, flattened head pushes the beam downwards and sideways, so the light lands on the surface instead of scattering across the garden. A head that does not glare The top of the fitting is a solid anthracite dome, with an opal acrylic diffuser fitted underneath. That arrangement has a concrete effect: seen from eye level there is no visible filament or hot spot, only an evenly lit diffuser. It matters most along walkways, where glare can be more tiring than no light at all. Built for the weather The base is reinforced thermoplastic, the tube is galvanized steel with an additional thermoplastic coating, and the globe is PMMA acrylic glass. The steel gives the post its rigidity, the coating protects it from corrosion, and acrylic is far less prone to shattering than ordinary glass, which counts for a fitting standing close to the ground. IP54 means protection against dust and against splashing water from any direction, which is exactly what a garden fitting meets day to day. An E27 socket and your choice of lamp Inside there is an E27 lampholder rated 4 A, 250 V, taking a single bulb of up to 60 W. The colour of the light therefore depends entirely on what you fit: a warm white around 2700 K gives a cosy evening mood, while a neutral 4000 K picks out the edges of steps and paving more sharply. The maker recommends LED bulbs for their consumption and service life. No bulb is supplied. The fitting runs on a standard 220-240 V, 50-60 Hz supply. The TEO series in three heights TEO comes in three variants sharing the same head: 169 cm, 119 cm and this 69 cm version. A whole property can therefore be lit with one design: taller posts at the entrance and along the drive, TEO 3 beside paths and in planting. Width and depth stay the same across the range, 33 x 23 cm. Installation On a paved surface the light is fixed straight to the ground. On unpaved ground such as a lawn, the maker recommends a concrete foundation, small or large, to give the fitting a stable footing. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, and the luminaire is approved for mounting on normally flammable surfaces.
