NYC/CONNY 35 is a floor lamp 152 cm tall: a round chrome base, a slim chrome tube and a white polycotton shade 35 cm across that tapers slightly towards the top. The switch sits on the cable rather than by the lampholder. How much room it needs and how it connects The lamp stands 152 cm high and the shade measures 35 cm across. That height is worth comparing with the back of the armchair or sofa the lamp is meant to stand beside — it decides whether the shade ends up above a seated person's head or level with it. The cable is 180 cm long, so the lamp has to stand within just under two metres of a socket; for a position in the middle of a room that distance needs checking first. The switch is on the cable, within reach from the chair, so there is no reaching up under the shade. What bulb it takes The lampholder is E27 and the maximum bulb rating is 15 W — a limit for the bulb, not the lamp's own consumption. The cable switch only turns the light on and off — there is no brightness control on the lamp, so any dimming depends entirely on the bulb. Build and where it fits The frame is metal with a chrome finish and the shade is sewn from polycotton, a cotton-polyester fabric. The fabric passes some light sideways, while the open top and open bottom of the shade send the rest up to the ceiling and down onto the floor right below the lamp.
