Norlys Halmstad 1488BL is a short garden bollard, 49 cm high, with a 12 × 12 cm square section. The black body in RAL 9005 is hot-dip galvanized steel with a powder-coated finish. The head has horizontal slats and a milky PMMA cover. A replaceable 5.9 W LED E27 lamp is included, so once wired the fitting immediately gives warm 2700 K light along a path, terrace edge or driveway margin. How the light sits on the ground The manufacturer splits source and luminaire flux: the lamp is 806 lm, the complete bollard 252 lm at 42.7 lm/W. Warm colour, CRI 80 and SDCM6 give calm, even light just above the ground. The head is partly covered from above, so the beam spreads sideways instead of glaring upward. The source is energy class F. The luminaire is phase-dimmable, trailing edge and leading edge. Lamp life L70/B50 is 25 000 hours. Power factor PF 0.70 and BUG rating B0-U3-G1 describe limited upward light at ULOR 48 percent. Fixing and connection IP65 and IK10 match permanent outdoor use. Protection class II, supply 220–240 V at 50–60 Hz. Three 9 mm holes sit on a 65 mm circle at 120 degrees. Terminals take cable up to 3 × 2.5 mm² and allow looping; the round sheath may be at most 12.5 mm. Ground spike, concreting sleeve and adapters are sold separately. Net weight 7.88 kg, gross 8.52 kg. Operating range −20 to +45 °C. A silicone gasket seals the joint between cover and body. The luminaire is for outdoor use only. Where 49 cm belongs This height and 252 lm work at a border, terrace, driveway and gazebo when you need guiding light rather than a lantern over a roadway. The bollard will not replace street lighting or a tall park post. It can mark a path edge or a garden entrance without washing the whole plot. Shape and finish The plain rectangular shaft, black steel and slats read as modern and spare, close to Scandinavian garden architecture.
