NICE 5089 is a NORLYS pole-top luminaire — a cast shade shaped like an inverted cone, 55 cm across, crowning a 70 cm body of powder-coated aluminium in RAL 9006. The shade is closed with clear safety glass and a silicone gasket. What pole it fits The luminaire is made for a 60 mm pole and slides 95 mm down onto it — two figures to check against the pole already standing. The OLFLEX 540 P 5G1 supply cable is 4.5 m long and is meant to be connected inside the pole, in a suitable installation box. The mounting adapter and the reducer are separate accessories and have to be bought as well. The luminaire weighs 9.2 kg net and 11.8 kg boxed. It occupies 55 × 55 cm in plan, so compare that width with the width of the path the pole will stand beside. How much light it gives and of what kind The built-in LED module draws 36.5 W and delivers 2964 lm — the output of the whole luminaire after losses at the shade, not the bare figure for the light source. That is enough light for a footpath or a square rather than a single decorative point. 3000 K is warm white, and Ra 80 is the level at which planting and facades stay recognisable after dark. The source cannot be replaced — the LED is integrated into the luminaire. The luminaire runs on DALI-2 with NightDim, a reduction of output during night hours. Controlling it needs a DALI bus and a gateway; on an ordinary phase dimmer it will not dim. Working conditions outdoors IP65 is full protection against dust and against water jets from any direction, so the luminaire works with no additional cover. The manufacturer gives an operating range of −20 to +45 °C. The body carries a 25-year anti-corrosion warranty and the whole luminaire a five-year one.Show more
