Famlight Muna Set of 1 transparent is a pendant lamp built around a single hand-blown clear glass sphere 30 cm across. A slim metal fitting in a copper, brass or patina finish holds the sphere, which hangs on a cable from a round 10 cm ceiling rose. How big the lamp is and where to hang it The sphere measures 30 cm in diameter and the whole fitting is 1200 mm from the ceiling to the bottom of the glass. The cable is shortened during installation, so the drop is matched to the room — above a table the bottom of the sphere usually ends up 70–80 cm over the tabletop. The 10 cm ceiling rose covers a standard installation box. The lamp runs on 230 V and carries a single light point, so several units are normally hung side by side over a longer table. How much light Muna Set of 1 gives The fitting takes one E27 bulb rated up to 40 W. No bulb is supplied, so you choose the colour and brightness yourself — over a dining table and in a living room that usually means warm light of 2700–3000 K. The glass is completely clear and does not diffuse the light: the bulb stays visible from every side and the lamp throws light evenly in all directions. Decorative bulbs whose filament is part of the design work particularly well here. Which interiors it suits The form is modern and reduced to two elements: a clear sphere and a narrow metal fitting. The warm metal contrasts with the colourless glass and sits well with wood and pale walls. The manufacturer intends this luminaire for the dining table, a kitchen worktop or island, and for living rooms and bedrooms — wherever the lamp hangs over a defined surface or lights a spot beside the bed. Construction and series Each sphere is mouth-blown, so glass thickness and small bubbles differ from piece to piece. The metal fitting is made by hand and matched to the sphere, and the complete lamp is produced in Poland. Muna is a whole series built from the same spheres. Beyond the single version there are sets of three, five and ten spheres, and versions in amber glass, so several fittings can be combined in one room.Show more
