NISEKO II 8646 is a hanging ring 90 cm across in black RAL 9011, suspended on three steel wires below a round canopy. Light leaves an acrylic band set into the inner face of the ring and travels down and inwards, so the ring itself stays dark while a bright halo forms underneath it. How big it is and how low it hangs Ninety centimetres of diameter is a figure to compare with the width of your table or the clear space above a kitchen island — a ring this size needs air around it and only settles in a room where nothing crowds it. Over a table top the drop is usually shortened so the lower edge sits 70–80 cm above the surface. The suspension wires unwind to 200 cm, which suits the fitting to rooms with a high ceiling and to a stairwell; they are cut to the length you need during installation. The supply cable is 2 m long and clear. The manufacturer allows the canopy to be mounted in a stretch ceiling. The manufacturer quotes 30,000 hours for the LED module and 30,000 switching cycles; the module can be replaced, but a service technician does it — there is no socket or bulb for you to change yourself. Build and connection The ring is steel, the diffuser acrylic, and the finish is matt black in RAL 9011. An IP20 rating means dry interiors only.
