Mantra INDONESIA 7810 is a ceiling fan with built-in LED lighting, wrapped in a rattan drum 63 cm across and 20 cm deep. The blades sit inside the housing behind an open lattice, and a lit ring runs around the underside. Design: José Ignacio Ballester. What size room it is meant for The manufacturer intends the fitting for rooms of 13–20 m² — a figure worth comparing with the floor area of your own room. Air flow is 76 m³/min at a maximum of 950 revolutions per minute. The fitting sits flush against the ceiling and is only 20 cm deep, so it also works in a room with a low ceiling where a downrod fan with exposed blades is out of the question. The mounting plate is 23.5 cm across and the whole unit weighs 3.8 kg. How it cools and how loud it is The motor is a DC type drawing 35 W; the whole fitting including the light draws 70 W. Noise falls between 32 and 54 dB(A): the lower figure is a level at which the fan can be left running overnight, the upper one is clearly audible. The direction of rotation can be reversed. Blowing downwards the air cools directly; reversed, it mixes the warm air under the ceiling with the rest of the room. An infrared remote control is included and handles both speed and light. What light it gives The built-in LED module delivers 4200 lm, which is what the main lighting of a room this size calls for. Colour temperature is set anywhere between 2700 K — warm, slightly yellow light — and 5000 K, cool and white, and brightness is dimmed from the remote. Colour rendering is Ra 80 and the beam angle 120°, so the light spreads widely downwards. The manufacturer rates the light source at 25,000 hours. The fitting is protection class I and therefore needs an installation with an earth conductor.Show more
