The Mantra SAL 7962 is a round ceiling fitting carrying three independently aimed spotlights. The 25 cm plate sits flush against the ceiling and is only 25 mm thick, while the cylindrical heads pivot in their brackets so the light can be turned and tilted exactly where it is wanted. Everything is finished in matt black, with no gloss and no visible fixings. Three directions of light from one point The layout solves the usual problem of a room with a single electrical outlet in the middle of the ceiling: instead of one beam pointing straight down you get three that aim separately. One can wash a worktop or a dining table, another a wall with a picture or shelving, and the third can be left as general light. Because the heads stay within the footprint of the 25 cm plate, the fitting does not sprawl visually the way a spotlight bar does. Choosing the lamps Because no light sources are included, the colour and brightness are yours to decide. The same body can give a warm 2700 K over a table or a neutral 4000 K in a work area - it is simply a matter of which GU10 lamps you fit. Do not exceed 10 W per socket. Mantra does not declare the fitting as dimmable, so if you intend to control brightness, check that against the specific lamp and dimmer you plan to use. Installation A metal bracket is screwed to the ceiling first, on two plugs set 210 mm apart; the supply is then wired into the L - PE - N terminal block and the plate is pushed home and locked with two grub screws in its rim. The lamps go in last. The work should be done by an electrician with the power off; protection class I means the circuit must carry an earth conductor.
