Lucide TUBE is a white ceiling bar carrying two aluminium cylinders, each of which rotates and tilts through a full 360°. The fitting measures 18.5 × 9.6 × 12.5 cm, takes two GU10 lamps and is supplied without bulbs. Two spots you aim yourself The point of this fitting is its movement. Both cylinders are gimbal-mounted and adjust independently — one onto a picture and the other onto an armchair, both the same way to light a worktop, or both into the ceiling if you want the light bounced and diffused. The range covers full rotation and tilt, so one installation serves several room layouts without drilling the ceiling again. No bulbs supplied — and that is an advantage No light sources are included, which with a GU10 socket means complete freedom. You can fit warm 2700 K for a living room, neutral 4000 K over a kitchen counter, or a narrow-beam lamp if the fitting is to work as an accent. Maximum power is 50 W per point; a modern GU10 LED drawing 5–7 W outputs more light than the old 50 W halogen, so the real consumption of the whole bar stays in the low tens of watts. Lucide recommends its own lamp 49006/05/31. Dimming and the electrical side The fitting is dimmable, but that needs two things bought separately: a dimmable GU10 lamp and a compatible dimmer. It is worth settling before installation, since matching a dimmer to an LED can be awkward. The bar is a class I fitting and therefore requires an earth conductor — when replacing an older luminaire in a flat without earthing, that is the condition to check first. Build and installation Body and cylinders are aluminium, powder coated in matt white; the aluminium carries heat away from the lamp holders, which matters with higher-wattage sources. The fitting mounts on a flat 18.5 × 9.6 × 0.5 cm plate directly to the ceiling, weighs 1 kg and has no cable or plug — it is hard-wired to a 230 V supply. IP20 protection places it in dry rooms.
