LILE is a single-light pendant lamp with a slim cylindrical steel body. The matte black tube is 6 cm in diameter and finished at both ends with polished chrome rings. It hangs from a black cable with a flat, round ceiling canopy, and the light source stays fully exposed below the tube. How big it is and how high to hang it The manufacturer gives the fixture height as a 29–60 cm range, so the drop is shortened during installation. Above a dining table with a 75 cm top, it is usually set so the bottom edge sits 70–80 cm above the surface — the light then covers the table and stays out of the eyes of everyone seated. The body is only 6 cm across, so the lamp does not block the view over the table the way a wide shade does. It weighs 0.6 kg, which puts very little load on the ceiling fixing point. What light it gives and what you need to buy The fitting takes one E27 bulb rated up to 15 W. No bulb is included, so you choose the brightness and the colour of the light yourself: 2700 K is warm, slightly yellow light, while 4000 K is neutral white. A 15 W ceiling per socket rules out incandescent and halogen bulbs, since the weakest common ones start at 25 W — this lamp is fitted with an LED bulb. It is replaceable, and because it burns exposed under the tube, its whole shape is on show: a decorative globe or a visible-filament bulb changes the look of the entire fitting. Build and the rest of the LILE series Tube, canopy and rings are made of steel. Apart from the contrast between matte black and chrome the lamp carries no ornament — the form is smooth and the cable is the only visible line. The manufacturer classes the model as modern and intends it for indoor use only. In the LILE series the same tube returns in a two-light version 40 cm wide and a three-light version 66 cm wide, and the chrome-and-black finish has a gold-and-black counterpart.
