The PRO 3Y LED strip comes as a 5 m roll carrying 300 SMD 5630 diodes, that is 60 per metre, running on 24 V. The board is 10 mm wide and double-sided mounting tape is applied to the back at the factory. How much light it gives and in what colour Every metre puts out 1851 lm while drawing 18 W, which works out at 103 lm/W and, over the whole roll, roughly 9250 lm from 90 W. At that level the strip does real work over a worktop or inside a wardrobe rather than only decorative backlighting. 6500 K is a cold white with a blue cast, close to daylight — the usual choice for kitchens, dressing rooms and utility spaces. Colour rendering is Ra 80, so clothes and goods keep their true colours, though without the accuracy of Ra 90 strips. At 60 diodes per metre, mounted in a profile with a diffuser, the strip reads as a continuous line of light with no visible dots. Where it may be installed IP65HS is IP65 sealing achieved with a heat-shrink sleeve instead of a thicker silicone coating — the strip tolerates damp and splashing, which suits it to a bathroom, the underside of kitchen cabinets and outdoor use under cover. It is cut every 100 mm at the marked points; the sealing stops at the cut edge and has to be closed again. What you need to buy separately Only the strip is supplied. Running it needs a 24 V power supply sized to the run: 18 W per metre times the number of metres, plus around 10% headroom — for the full 5 m roll that means at least 100 W. Using 24 V rather than 12 V reduces voltage drop over longer runs and allows thinner feed wires.
