ILLUSION 45/33 is a lampshade shaped as a truncated cone and made of chrome-coloured foil. It measures 45 cm across the lower edge and 33 cm in height, and its surface is mirror-like. The shade is supplied on its own — the pendant set or floor base and the light source are chosen separately. How large the shade is and where it belongs At 45 cm across, ILLUSION lights one defined area rather than a whole room. Above a table 80–90 cm wide it keeps its proportions; the lower edge is usually set 70–80 cm above the top so the light covers the whole surface without reaching the eyes of people seated at it. At 33 cm high the shade weighs 0.51 kg, which puts it within the range of pendant sets intended for lighter shades. On a floor base the same 45 cm gives a wide, clearly drawn lamp head. What you need alongside it The shade mounts on a ceiling pendant set or on the base of a floor lamp. The manufacturer lists the HEX, ELISA, ENZO, LISA, KOMBIX, BEND, ALVIS, AMBITUS and NYC sets as suitable; the lampholder in these carries an E27 thread. No bulb is included, and its power must not exceed 20 W. With LED sources that limit covers the usual E27 bulbs for general lighting, so the light colour and brightness are yours to choose. How the shade handles light Switched off, the shade behaves as a mirror, returning the surroundings and the colours of the room. Once the bulb is lit the foil turns partly translucent and lets some of the light through sideways, while the rest leaves through the open 45 cm edge at the bottom.
