SARDUNO is a small pendant light on a black cable. The bell-shaped shade is glass with a mirrored, silver-grey coating, set into a gold metal sleeve; an identical gold sleeve serves as the ceiling rose. The light source is built in permanently. How big it is and how low it hangs The shade is 17 cm across and the whole shade-and-sleeve assembly stands 21.7 cm high. This is a spot fitting: at that diameter it lights a section of a worktop rather than a whole room. The ceiling rose is narrow — 7 cm across and 12.5 cm high — so it leaves only a small mark on the ceiling. The manufacturer gives a total height of 150 cm from the ceiling. Above a table the bottom edge of the shade is usually set 70–80 cm over the top; above a bar counter 100–110 cm high the same clearance sits correspondingly higher. How much light it gives A built-in LED module of 8 W gives 239 lm at 3000 K, which is warm white light. Those 239 lm are roughly a third of what an old 60 W bulb produced — a single SARDUNO is therefore an accent over one spot, not room lighting. The manufacturer itself expects several to be hung in a line above a kitchen island, and that is the route to more light. The LED module is fixed in place — there is no cap and no replaceable bulb, so the colour and the output are set at the factory and cannot be changed by choosing a different lamp. The fitting cannot be dimmed. Materials and where it fits The shade is glass with a mirror coating that stays partly see-through at the top edge and turns into a full silver reflection towards the bottom. The sleeve above the shade and the rose at the ceiling are gold, and the black cable between them draws a clear vertical line over the 150 cm drop. The manufacturer describes SARDUNO as a minimalist, modern fitting intended over a side table, over a kitchen island and for multi-point arrangements. The fitting is for dry indoor rooms.Show more
