Gater is a three-light pendant with milk-white glass shades hung on black cords beneath a shared round ceiling rose. Two shades have an elongated bell shape, the third is lower and wider, and each hangs at a different length. The rose, the socket sleeves and the cords are black. How big the pendant is and where to hang it The shades are spread across a circle 58 cm in diameter, and the fitting measures 140 cm in total height. The cords are shortened during installation, so 140 cm is the maximum drop rather than a fixed dimension. Over a table, the drop is usually set so the lower edge of the lowest shade sits 70–80 cm above the top — the light then covers the table surface without shining into the eyes of anyone seated. Compare the 58 cm spread with the width of your own table top: over a narrow table the fitting will take up almost all of it. How much light it gives and what to buy separately The pendant takes three E27 bulbs of up to 40 W each. Bulbs are not included, so you choose brightness and colour yourself: a single source of around 800 lm matches the old 60 W incandescent, and three of them already deliver a luminous flux on the level of main lighting for a smaller room. The manufacturer states the fitting can be dimmed with a suitable bulb — you therefore need bulbs described as dimmable and a dimmer in the circuit. The milk-white glass diffuses the light and the shades are open at the bottom, so the flux goes mainly downwards, onto the surface below. Supply 230 V. Build and the interiors it suits The construction combines metal alloy and glass: a flat black ceiling rose, black socket sleeves and cords, and three smooth glass shades with no ornament. The manufacturer gives a two-year warranty. Gater is intended over a table, for the living room, the bedroom and the hallway, and for hotel interiors. Three shades at different heights read best where the full height of the fitting stays visible — over a worktop or in an open space.
