IPSO R IP65 is a frameless recessed downlight measuring 12.5 cm across, finished in white. Once installed, only the cone-shaped reflector stays visible — there is no decorative trim ring, and the edge is filled and painted over together with the ceiling. The IP65 rating allows it to go into a bathroom. The opening to prepare and the space needed above the ceiling Installation calls for a round cut-out 8.5 cm in diameter. Above the ceiling board you need 13 cm of clear space — that is what the GU10 holder, its lead and the connection block routed over the body take up. The visible ring is 12.5 cm across, so it covers the opening with roughly 2 cm to spare all round. The mounting ring is screwed into plasterboard on toggle anchors and its edge is skimmed with filler before the ceiling is painted. The gasket and the reflector go in afterwards. At 0.16 kg the fitting puts no strain on a suspended ceiling. How much light it gives and which bulb to buy The fitting has one light point with a GU10 socket and takes LED bulbs up to 9 W. No bulb is supplied — you choose colour and brightness yourself; bathrooms usually get 3000 K warm white, or 4000 K where the light has to help with shaving and make-up. Dimming is possible but depends entirely on what you pair it with: a bulb marked as dimmable and a dimmer in the circuit — the fitting itself carries no control electronics. The cone reflector aims the beam straight down, and the manufacturer requires at least 0.2 m between the fitting and the surface it lights. Why it suits a bathroom IP65 means fully dust-tight and resistant to water jets, so the downlight can sit above a shower enclosure or a bath. It runs on standard 230 V, and protection class II, meaning double insulation, removes the need for an earth conductor. Finish and series The smooth white body carries no ornament and reads as modern and modernist — once the edge is filled, all that shows in the ceiling is a round opening with the reflector inside.
