Hellux Large Aeroplane Pendant Light 104.11.19 Wood Black-Natural E27 for a Child's Room
The Hellux Samolot duży is a wooden pendant light shaped like a biplane, made for a child's room. The fuselage is left in the natural colour of the wood and oiled so the grain shows, while the wings, tailplane, propeller and undercarriage are painted black. The aeroplane hangs on two white cords from a wooden ceiling cup. How big it is and how much room it takes The model measures 45 cm long and 42 cm wide, and reaches 75 cm in height including the suspension. Those three figures are worth comparing with the free space above the spot you have in mind: the aeroplane takes up a lot of area under the ceiling and looks best where it has room around it rather than close to a wall. The propeller and the undercarriage move, so the light is also something a child can play with under supervision. It gives one point of light. Which bulb you have to buy The socket is E27 and takes a bulb of up to 60 W. No bulb is supplied, so you choose the colour and brightness yourself — an LED bulb works. For a child's room a warm colour of about 2700–3000 K is the usual pick. The bulb is on show here: it stands upright on the fuselage between the wings and becomes part of the aeroplane's outline. That is why the manufacturer recommends a GLOBE bulb, that is a spherical one, in an opal finish — a clear envelope with a visible filament reads differently in that position than a smooth sphere. Build and safety The light is made entirely of solid wood. The manufacturer states that every paint and oil used on the finish is certified and safe for children — which is the point that matters on a fixture hanging within sight and reach of the youngest.
