GES2234 is a square outdoor floodlight, 14.2 cm to a side, mounted on a tilting stirrup that brings the whole to 24 cm tall. An array of LEDs works behind a glass lens. The housing is aluminium in anthracite.Three colour temperatures in one fittingThis is the model's most important property and the one most easily missed in a spec table. The floodlight has a switchable colour temperature: 3000 K, 4000 K and 6500 K — from warm white through neutral to cold. That means the decision about light colour is made after installation, not at the point of order: the fitting can be matched to facade lighting already in place, or the character of the illumination changed without replacing hardware. Warm 3000 K sits well on brick, render and timber; 6500 K belongs where legibility rather than mood is the point — at a gate, in a car park, on an information board.Output depends on the settingIt is worth knowing that the three colours do not give the same brightness. The manufacturer states 1470 lm at 3000 K, 1680 lm at 4000 K and 1650 lm at 6500 K — so the neutral setting is the brightest, not the cold one as you might assume. The spread between extremes reaches 14%. When planning facade lighting from several points, set every fitting to the same colour not only for looks but so that the illumination is even.A 40° beam — directed, not spreadA 40° angle is a medium-narrow beam. From 3 m it lights a band roughly 2.2 m wide — enough to take in a section of facade, the trunk and crown of a tree or a sign, but not enough to light a driveway or terrace as a whole. This is a fitting for emphasis: it is aimed at a specific object, and the tilting stirrup lets the angle be set after fixing. A CRI above 80 is enough to keep the colours of render, brick and foliage natural.IP65 and mountingThe IP65 rating means full dust-tightness and resistance to a water jet — the fitting can work unsheltered, exposed to rain and pressure washing. It fixes through the stirrup, which doubles as the aiming mechanism; the stirrup's base is only 4.5 cm wide, so it fits on a narrow plinth or post. The luminaire is protection class I, which means an earth conductor is required — in a garden installation that is a condition to check before buying.Longevity and consumptionThe manufacturer declares 25,000 hours for the LED module. Draw is 31 W, which against 1470–1680 lm gives roughly 47–54 lm/W and energy class E.
