Phantom Leaner is a rectangular mirror measuring 69 × 158 cm that can either lean against the wall or hang on it, portrait or landscape. The 10.2 cm frame is itself built from mirror glass, with a narrow gold strip running along the inner edge. Size and two ways to display it At 158 cm tall it shows an adult the whole figure, shoes to head, with no need to step back. The 69 cm width takes in the shoulders and looser clothing as well, so the mirror holds a complete outfit rather than a crop of one. The maker allowed for both arrangements. Leaning, the mirror stands 3 cm clear of the wall — roughly the width of a hand — and needs no fitting at all. There are D-ring fixings on the back, though, so the same panel can be hung, and in either orientation: mounted landscape it measures 158 cm across and 69 cm high. Frame and glass The frame is 10.2 cm wide and made of mirror in its own right: narrower strips of mirrored glass sit on the main panel, mitred at the corners. Their edges are bevelled, so a distinct line of refracted light runs the whole way round. A narrow gold strip closes the inner edge of the frame, separating it from the main reflection and framing it as a clean rectangle. Beyond that the surface stays flat, with no ornament or carving — the entire decorative effect comes from mirror strips set against a gold line. The construction is glass and plastic.
